Any initiated member may go through the ceremony if they have graduated, are within six months of graduation, or have left school, are 25 years of age with no plans to return to school. You can go through the ceremony at a Regional Conference, Convention, or any chapter or alumni chapter that performs it. It costs $25 and you get cool stuff with it! (lapel pin and more!)

One of the reasons for Chris Miller's proposal that the ceremony be secret was the fact that delta chi has a long tradition of having more secrets than other fraternities. Thus, having a secret alumni ceremony was part of giving it some Delta chi character.

> Hey John. Do you think AMs should be allowed to watch an initiation ceremony before they are initiated? Seems to me this is a similar point. I know this discuussion is about Delta Chi, but I can tell you in Masonry no one is allowed to attend any of the 41 ceremonies before they go through each of them. For the 1st 3 they have to pass a test in open lodge before they can move on.

Contrawise - I've been up to 0300 several times to complete the ceremony. No biggy. If you love Delta Chi, you sacrifice a little convenience every now and then, n'est pas?
