Subject: "Would I Hire Adam?"-Positive Feedback
Brother Bossart,
I wanted to write to you to let you know that I was extremely pleased to see
the ³AA² of our beloved fraternity making this public. As a member of the
Delta Chi Fraternity and as a professional recruiter, it is important to our
brothers that they know this information. Often times during the college
years we do not think about our actions in a long term sense, but as we all
know the past will come back to haunt you.
The purpose of me writing you is not only to thank, but to confirm what you
wrote. I am currently in my third year of recruiting professionals across
many different disciplines and have often Googled or checked my candidates
via Myspace or Facebook. In many instances those websites have turned my
³perfect² candidate into someone that I would be weary of placing with a
Fortune 500 candidate.
The fact of the matter is that a growing number of professionals, and now
even businesses and political candidates, use those mediums to get across to
different demographics. For most people, including myself, these websites
(Myspace/Facebook) are guilty pleasures and ways of getting back in touch
with old friends, relatives, and brothers, but people need to learn how to
set their profile to private so that only the people that you want to see
your profile are allowed to and so they will not be passed up for career
opportunities.
